PHAB2 Pro will be the first Project Tango smartphone

Google introduced Project Tango in May 2014, an Android based prototype phone that would map the world around it in 3D. The device comes with advanced 3D sensors including, standard RGB camera for color details, two depth-sensing camera with fish-eye lenses to understand motion, space and area. These sensors enables the device to map the space around the user in real time for indoor navigation and immersive gaming, among many other things.

At CES 2016 Lenovo announced its partnership with Google to develop the first consumer-ready Project Tango smartphone. The company has already announced that it will share more details on Project Tango at Lenovo's Tech World that is scheduled for June 9.

Now ahead of the event, reliable tipster Evan Blass (@evleaks) has shared some details on Project Tango. According to Blass, Lenovo's first Project Tango smartphone will be called PHAB2 Pro and will come with a huge 6.4-inch display. Lenovo has already confirmed that the phone will have a display size less than 6.5-inches, and also revealed that it will be powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon processor and will be priced less than $500 (Rs. 33,000).

We are just few days away from knowing all the official details of Project Tango (PHAB2 Pro), so stay tuned.
